August 20-23, 2009- Second annual Tag a Tiny tuna tournament will be held. The purpose of Tag a Tiny is to generate funds for Dr. Molly Lutcavage and the Large Pelagics Research Center at the University of New Hampshire. Registration is open to the public. May 18-21, 2009- Large Pelagics Resaerch Center members attended TunaCamp in California. Dr. Lutcavage, Ben Galuadi, Kara Dodge and Dr. Erik Chapman all presented their work.

May 12, 2009- The Large Pelagics Research Center hosted the Principle Investigators' Meeting at the University of New Hampshire. Thanks to all who came and for your great work thus far!

April-May, 2009- The Large Pelagics Research Center hosted the second installment of the Seminar Series started in 2008. Seminars are available online for those unable to attend. Click here for more information on speakers and to watch!

January, 2009- Large Pelagics Research Center members attended Tuna Mania at the Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth, NH. Many thanks to the Coastal Concersation Association for their generous donation!

August 21-24, 2008- The North Shore Community Tuna Association is hosted a Bluefin Tuna Tagging Tournament in support of Tag A Tiny TM . The purpose of the tournament is to raise funds for Dr. Molly Lutcavage and the UNH Large Pelagics Research Center. Thanks to all who participated in this great event.

May 1, 2008- The Large Pelagics Research Center hosted the Principle Investigators' Meeting at the University of New Hampshire.Thanks to all who came and for your great work thus far.

April 20-26, 2008- Large Pelagics Research Center members attended the ICCAT meeting in Santatnder, Spain. Dr. Lutcavage presented a paper on the history of the bluefin tuna fisheries. In addition, the LPRC hosted a reproduction workshop on bluefin tuna.

April-May, 2008- The Large Pelagics Research Center hosted the Nelson "hammer" Beideman Seminar Series, a public lecture series at the University of New Hampshire, in honor of Nelson Beideman, for his lifetime contributions and tireless efforts to raise awareness for management and enforcement of international fisheries, and for preserving the economic viability of the Atlantic pelagic longline fleet through sustainable fishing practices. April 4-6, 2008- Large Pelagics Research Center members attented the New England Saltwater Fishing Show in Providence, RI. We will be discussed our Tag a Tiny program with attendees, and had conventional tags on hand for distribution.Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

March 29, 2008- Large Pelagics Research Center members will attend the Saco Bay Tackle Company's all-day seminar. LPRC team members Nuno Fragoso and Walter Golet will be on hand to discuss our tagging programs. Also, learn how you can help us Tag a Tiny this season!

March 14-17, 2008- Large Pelagics Research Center members attended the Hook-Up seminar. Tag a Tiny team members were on hand to discuss the juvenile tagging program and to raise interest about helping us conventionally tag juvenile bluefin tuna this upcoming season. Boat time was auctioned off to assist the LPRL with tagging this season, thanks to everyone!

February 8-10, 2008- Large Pelagics Research Center members attended the Eastern Fishing and Outdoor Expedition in Worcester, MA. Tag a Tiny team members were on hand to discuss the juvenile tagging program and to raise interest about helping us conventionally tag juvenile bluefin tuna this upcoming season.

January 26, 2008- Large Pelagics Research Center members were featured at the Coastal Conservation Association's "Tunamania". Dr. Molly Lutcavage presented recent data and answered questions. Our Tag a Tiny program was highlighted specifically. Proceeds from the annual silent auction were donated to the research program. Thanks to all who made it possible!
